Å koda's Quality Confounds The Cliches (591)

In yet another demonstration of the brand's reliability and quality,ŠKODA has been named as the most dependable car brand in the United Kingdom for the second consecutive year by the JD Power Vehicle Dependability Survey.

The Czech manufacturer had the fewest problems experienced by owners in the survey, which took views from more than 13,000 owners of vehicles aged from one to three years.ŠKODA's Fabia was named the best small car and its Yeti the best compact SUV.Car makers were ranked according to the number of problems received per 100 cars. Participating owners said the most common problems across all brands were issues with technical features such as infotainment systems.

The most commonly reported problem, also across all brands, related to Bluetooth pairing with a mobile phone, while fewer exterior and engine problems were reported this year. In Australia, allŠKODAs are available with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.ŠKODA Australian Managing Director Michael Irmer said the victory served to confound cliches.

"The perception remains that Japanese brands are synonymous with reliability and quality, but somehow Europeans are not," Mr Irmer said.

"The facts are that trouble-free ownership isŠKODA's forte.
