An electric-powered Toyota concept - positioned as an alternative to city cars, other electric vehicles and motorcycles - will be unveiled at next month's Geneva motor show.
The world premiere of the Toyota i-TRIL Concept will showcase numerous innovative aspects of Toyota's research into ever-better and more engaging environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
The i-TRIL Concept is aimed at people who want to have fun even while driving at slow speeds around cities and is also capable of operating autonomously.
It features a one-plus-two seating layout and Active Lean technology - a system that angles the vehicle when cornering to provide high levels of stability, safety and comfort.
The i-TRIL Concept was developed by Toyota Motor Europe in collaboration with the company's ED2 design studio in Nice.
At Geneva, Toyota will also introduce the 2017 Yaris alongside its sporty derivative, the Yaris GRMN.
The upgraded Yaris range will feature a more dynamic exterior design and upgraded interior finish.
The Yaris GRMN hot hatch is a model designed primarily for the European market.
Inspired and influenced by Toyota's return to the World Rally Championship with the Yaris WRC, the Yaris GRMN will be powered by a supercharged 1.8-litre engine that will produce more than 156kW.
Toyota's on-stand press conference takes place on Tuesday, March 7 at 12:30pm in Hall 4 (10.30pm AEDT).
