Toyota Australia will host thirty of its top Toyota dealership staff on 11 November as part of the National Skills Program that promotes excellence across the dealer network and recognises technical and customer-facing staff for their outstanding achievements.
After months of online quizzes and practical exams, regional winners were selected in each of the categories of Guest Relations, Vehicle Sales, Service Advisor, Diagnosis Technician, Service Technician, Parts Interpreter and Parts Sales.
Region Champions will meet on Friday in a series of real life scenarios to showcase their skills. Each finalist will perform practical tasks and role-plays in front of a panel of judges, dealer staff and TAFE representatives.
Toyota has been conducting the annual National Skills Final event at its NSW headquarters in Caringbah since 1985.
Toyota Australia's executive director of sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the National Skills Final is an important date in the Toyota calendar.
"It's important to recognise those employees continually striving to improve their skills and keep Toyota at number one in the Australian vehicle market," he said. "After all, these are the people who deliver that 'Oh What a Feeling' moment to every guest."
A gala dinner will be held on Friday evening to announce the Toyota Australia Champions who will travel to Japan to be inducted into Toyota's International Assembly of Customer Service Champions.
