Australia's cities are renowned for their buskers - and now our talented street musicians have the chance to pit their skills against the world's best in a competition being run by Toyota.
Known as Feeling the Street (www.feelingthestreet.com), Toyota's global street music initiative champions the busking community and provides worldwide exposure for hundreds of independent artists.
For the next seven weeks, street musicians can upload videos of their music-making to the site, capturing their skill playing an original song live in a street location.
Members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite performers by throwing (virtual) money into the hats of the musicians they like the best.
In mid-June, the six winning musicians will come together to form a new Global Street Band and travel to New Zealand for a nine-day tour, culminating in a live showcase gig on stage.
They will be joined by six lucky voters who will be selected to travel as roadies with the band.
