Suzuki Australia is pleased to advise that the new Suzuki Celerio to be introduced to Australia in the first quarter of 2015 will have additional safety features to the vehicle tested in the latest round of European New Car Assessment (ENCAP) crash safety results. The European spec Celerio which was tested does not come standard with side curtain airbags and did not undertake the side pole crash test, therefore making it eligible for 3 stars only.
Suzuki Australia confirms that the Celerio to be sold in Australia will come standard with side curtain airbags and rear seatbelt warning alarm. With these features, we are certain that when crash tested, the Australian spec Celerio will receive 4 stars from ANCAP.
“Suzuki Australia place vehicle safety as an absolute priority and always ensure our vehicles for Australian customers are fitted with the highest possible safety features for the segment, as evidenced in our 7 airbag Swift. The new Celerio will be no exception and will feature dual front, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control and more as standard.” said Suzuki Australia General Manager Andrew Moore.
