After careful consideration, Suzuki Australia – excluding Queensland - has made the decision to discontinue importing Celerio’s in to Australia for the time being.
The move comes as a result of decreased consumer demand in the Micro segment.
Suzuki Australia Director of Automobiles Andrew Moore said, “Over the last few months we have been selling existing Celerio stock at a lower rate than planned, albeit still in line with the Micro segment, and consequently do not plan to import any further units this year.”
“It is a situation that we will be keeping a close eye on, and should we see a notable increase in segment demand we can always look to reorder the model back again,” Moore added.
In the interim, Suzuki Australia will continue its focus on the Light segment where sales to private buyers have driven the manufacturer in to second place on the ladder, year to date.
