Peugeot's Working Class Vans Broaden their Appeal (1168)

Peugeot's Working Class Vans Broaden their Appeal (1168)

Date Added:

Peugeot Australia is gearing up to further capitalise on its success in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment with an updated LCV family for the coming 2022 model year (MY22).

Peugeot Australia will soon welcome its revitalised van range comprising the familiar Partner, Expert and Boxer models but in a broadened family covering a revised range introducing City, Pro, Premium and Sport model grades with vehicle specification changes giving customers more choice.

Aimed at meeting a wide variety of business needs, the changes bring a specification realignment to Peugeot's entire light commercial family, an LCV triple threat neatly covering the small, medium and large sectors and moving from a 'one size fits all' strategy to a more comprehensive model range maximising versatility and meeting the varying needs of both owner-operators and owner-drivers, including small-to-medium businesses and 'tool of trade' buyers.

Two Permanent Variants and a Limited Edition for 2022

Two new permanent models have been introduced to the line-up in the form of Partner Long with automatic transmission and Expert Long with a manual transmission, both meeting specific buyer needs. As well, the Expert Sport Limited Edition offers plenty of advantages to some buyers who may otherwise have only considered a ute.

New Partner, Expert and Boxer have each been designed for maximum practicality and functionality, the range addressing demands for safety, functionality, low daily running costs and reduced total ownership costs while broadening overall buyer appeal.

Announcing the imminent arrival of the transformed van family, Peugeot Australia General Manager, Kate Gillis, said the revitalised LCV range presents a significant opportunity for Peugeot's continued growth in the commercial segment.

"We have seen how Peugeot's LCV range has resonated with Australian consumers, particularly with small and medium-sized business owners, since its 2019 launch and we are confident the new range will further increase that appeal.

"With a line-up that now caters to a broader variety of customer needs and aligns with the expectations of our buyers, there is great anticipation for the arrival of the new range," Ms Gillis added.

With stock availability of the outgoing Peugeot LCV range almost exhausted, customers are encouraged to discuss the revitalised MY22 range with their local Peugeot dealer. Pre-order is available now to ensure customers secure their order in the first arrivals of the MY22 Peugeot LCV range. The MY22 Peugeot LCV range is expected to arrive in showrooms in Q1, 2022.

Explaining the Grades

CITY: This model grade is all about work, making minor equipment adjustments to hit a lower price point (compared to the outgoing model). In short, maximum ability at an appealing entry-level price.

PRO: The model grade of choice for owner-operators and owner-drivers in need of a 'fit for purpose' van with impressive equipment and safety levels.

PREMIUM: With higher equipment levels this grade is for owner-drivers, small-to-medium businesses and tool-of-trade buyers in need of a more car-like van.

SPORT: Exclusive to the Expert model as a limited-edition variant, Sport is made for owner-drivers who want their businesses to stand out. Sport is a safe, comfortable, equipment-packed van with more functionality than a utility but with the same carrying capacity.
