Toyota Australia has acknowledged the dedication and attention to detail of its top performing dealerships by announcing its coveted 5-Star awards for guest experience.
Customers, or guests, of participating Toyota dealerships were independently surveyed during 2014 to determine their level of satisfaction with the sales process and their experience with the vehicle service department.
The 5-Star Guest Experience Dealership Award recognises dealerships that have consistently met a strict set of criteria by offering exceptional customer service and routinely exceeding customer expectations.
Toyota Australia executive director sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the only way a dealer can achieve maximum 5-Star status is with a 'Guest First' culture.
"This is where customers are essentially treated as guests of the dealership, and by continuously striving to improve their service and support," he said.
Mr Cramb said he was pleased that more than a third of Toyota's dealers had achieved the highest-possible guest satisfaction status.
"This award program demonstrates our commitment to raising the already high standard of service across the Toyota dealer network.
"It's part of a range of initiatives, which includes our annual National Skills Program, to provide Toyota guests with the best possible service from skilled and knowledgeable staff," Mr Cramb said.
When the survey results from over 110,000 responses were averaged over a 12-month period, 88 out of a total 209 participating Toyota Dealers in 2014 achieved the 5-Star combined rating for sales and service, as measured against rigorous criteria.
Nearly half of the winners qualified for a 5-Star award for the first time.
"You can expect the very best experience from our 5-Star dealers - the kind you'd be happy to recommend to anyone," Mr Cramb said.
