Australian customers can now order a Ford Everest Titanium with a choice of wheels and tyres to take full advantage of the top-spec Everest's awarded off-road capability.
Everest Titanium buyers can now choose between an optional 18 by 8.0-inch alloy wheel, with an increased tyre sidewall, for improved off-road performance, or the current stylish 20-inch alloys. The No Cost Option increases the diversity within the locally designed and engineered Everest range, offering the highest level of equipment with the added benefit of an 18-inch diameter alloy wheel more suited to tackling harsh terrain. It includes a matching full-size alloy spare wheel.
The Everest has been awarded for its off-road capability, and many of our customers have and do take full advantage of this, said Ford Australia President and CEO, Graeme Whickman. Weve responded to this call, and were pleased to offer greater choice for Everest customers.
The 18-inch package includes wheel, tyre and suspension changes, as well as Driver Assistance Technology re-calibrations for a cohesive package to perform at its optimum level.
The addition of the 18-inch wheel option further increases the choice for Everest buyers, as diverse tastes are catered for based on customer feedback. In 2017, Australian Everest buyers have increased by 22.5 percent as the line-up has expanded for greater appeal, with its August 2017 result a staggering 56.8 percent rise over August 2016.
While benefitting from Everests immensely capable chassis, including an 800mm water-wading ability, 3000kg towing capacity and its clever Terrain Management System, the Titanium also brings a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Panoramic Power Sunroof and leather accented seats, plus third-row seating.
SYNC 3i, standard across the range, includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with in-built maps on Trend and Titanium models, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Autoii compatibility. A full-colour reversing camera, as well as Emergency Assistance that automatically calls 000 in the event of an airbag deployment or roll-over is part of the technology package.
In addition, the Everest Ambiente RWD has joined the line-up in 2017, with a five-seat model offering Australians desiring generous interior space, five-star safety-rating and a 3000kg towing capacity at a more attainable $47,990*MLP starting price. This joins the Trend RWD, launched in late 2016, in addition to the latest SYNC 3 and NCO wheel and tyre package.
The Ford Everest won Drive Car of the Year in 2015, as well as 4x4 Australias 2016 Car of the Year, repeating category wins at Drive with 4WD of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.
