Exhaust extraction system for Jarvis workshops (312)

The Jarvis Group have just commenced installation of the latest exhaust extraction system at their Jarvis Ford Hillcrest workshop. This will the fourth extraction system in place for Jarvis, and follows installations at Jarvis Ford Norwood, and Jarvis Subaru West Terrace and Kensington.

Upon completion at the Hillcrest dealership, work will begin at Jarvis Toyota, Clovelly Park. Provisions have also been made for the installation of another system in the brand new Jarvis Barossa Tanunda dealership when construction starts later this year.

Overseeing the installations is Jarvis Strategic Procurement & Logistics Manager David McNaughton.

“Modern workshops demand clean, well lit and fume free environments for our Technicians to perform their duties. Jarvis is working hard to provide these facilities and the exhaust extraction systems are an important part of our service departments”, David said.

“This system installation and other actions like the recycling of waste oil, tyres, metal and cardboard reinforces the Jarvis commitment to looking after the environment.”

Sourced from Sweden, the ‘state of the art’ extraction systems are proven to reduce the build-up of exhaust gases in confined workshops. A large electric fan ensures that all gases are directed up through the system ‘rail’, located just below the workshop roof, through a filter and then to the atmosphere.

The filter is specifically designed to capture any smoke, airborne particles and odours prior to the gases leaving the workshop, minimising the impact of service operations on neighbouring properties and the environment.
