Toyota Australia and North Queensland Cowboys Renew Principal Partnership Deal (1354)

Toyota Australia and North Queensland Cowboys Renew Principal Partnership Deal (1354)

Date Added:

Toyota Australia and its North Queensland dealers have renewed their long-standing sponsorship of the North Queensland Cowboys for at least the next three years. The new partnership will commence in January 2025 and runs until the end of 2027, which will mark its 25th year.

The partnership will enter its 23rd season in 2025 and following the Cowboys NRLW squad inception in 2023, the deal includes both North Queensland Cowboys NRL and NRLW agreements.

Toyota Australia's Vice President Sales, Marketing & Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said Toyota takes immense pride in our long-standing partnership with the North Queensland Cowboys.

“It’s an incredible club that shares Toyota’s passion for inspiring progress and creating positive change within the community.” Mr Hanley said

“Our strong relationship provides the support needed to help continue to build this great organisation that is founded on a passion for the community, its people, its players, the fans and the great game of rugby league.”

North Queensland Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel said the partnership extension signifies Toyota’s commitment to not only the Cowboys, but the people of North Queensland.

“With the largest footprint in the NRL, our players, fans and members travel far and wide to be a part of our club, and we are so fortunate to work with Toyota and the North Queensland dealer network in enriching the lives of the various communities of North Queensland,” Mr Reibel said.

“As the longest running principal partnership for an Australian-based NRL team, our partnership with Toyota has been instrumental in the success and development of our club, and extending this friendship further entrenches the shared values between our organisations.

“North Queenslanders are known for our toughness, resilience and sticking together, and this has also certainly been a defining factor of Toyota’s for many years as well.”

Toyota will continue its strong relationship with the Cowboys Community Foundation and its incredible community initiatives such as Cowboys House Foundation, as well as other initiatives designed to grow the sport such as the NRL and NRLW Academy programs and developing the next generation of elite talent through Mini Mods.

Cowboys Community Foundation CEO, Fiona Pelling said the continued support of Toyota will allow the Foundation to continue to build long-term sustainability for their life-changing programs.

“Rugby league is part of the DNA of North Queensland and is trusted and enjoyed by so many people. Having the backing of an organisation like Toyota allows us to continue to build that trust within the community and improve the lives of individuals and families through access to education, training and employment,” she said.

Toyota's North Queensland dealer group has sales and service outlets in Townsville, Cairns, Atherton, Innisfail, Mareeba, Tully, Ingham, Mount Isa, Charters Towers, Ayr, Bowen, Proserpine and Mackay.
