Ford Performance Racing will prepare and run a fifth Ford for this year’s Bathurst 1000 for a New Zealand-based team known as Super Black Racing.The new team will be the first Kiwi-backed entry in the V8 Supercars Championship for many years and is acting as a platform to showcase New Zealand’s next-generation racing drivers.

6/7/2014Ford Pepsi Max Crew duo Frosty and Chaz banked significant points on a challenging day in Townsville to finish sixth and seventh after 88 laps of the Reid Park street circuit. Mostert looked set to challenge for the podium after pitting on the opening lap under a safety car which was unfortunately deployed to recover Jack Perkins’ stricken car. He then went into fuel-saving mode until a puncture forced him onto a three-stop strategy. 2/6/2014Ford Pepsi Max Crew is looking to win its fifth Sunday race in succession this weekend at the Castrol Townsville 500 and believes it has multiple contenders for race wins. Series leader Frosty extended his lead two weeks ago in Darwin and after finishing second in the team’s 1-2 in Townsville last year he believes he can go one better in 2014.
