23/11/2008Ford Performance Racing found fresh pace this weekend in Symmons Plains but the team's V8 Supercar Championship title hopes took a knock as Jamie Whincup extended his lead.Mark Winterbottom finished fourth overall behind title rival Whincup but with only one round left the 233 point gap to the lead looks daunting. You'd like to think we could still win the championship but it's unlikely, said Frosty. Jamie's doing a good job; you can't fault the team. Craig Lowndes made it easier for him this weekend by protecting him on track so he had no pressure.

8/10/2007Subaru rally driver Chris Atkinson has finished Rally Catalunya in eighth place, maintaining a consistent pace across the final day but unable to move up the leaders’ board during the final four competitive stages.Honours for the weekend went to Sebastien Loeb, who finished 13.8 seconds ahead of Daniel Sordo with Marcus Gronholm third, another 39.4 seconds back.Gronholm retains the series lead with 96 points, but is now only six clear of the fast-finishing Loeb with four events remaining.

Debut win for new Focus

06/08/2007BP-Ford's new Focus RS World Rally Car scored a one-two finish on its debut in Finland as the team stretched its lead in the FIA World Rally Championship to 40 points. In winning Rally Finland for the seventh time in eight years, Marcus Grönholm and Timo Rautiainen entered the record books as the first drivers to win a full WRC event on seven occasions.
