Why does the inside of my windscreen become hazy?

The film is caused by fumes from the plastic interior trim when it is exposed to high temperatures. Covering upholstery and other interior plastic areas with a blanket or using a car cover when parked may help. Although it generally becomes less of a problem as vehicles age, there is nothing that can be done to prevent it. The good news is that it is easy to remove from the glass with ordinary glass cleaner whenever you carry out your car maintenance.
