BRZ is People's Choice
Subaru's fast-selling BRZ sports car has been voted the carsales People's Choice Best Performance Car Under $100,000.
BRZ won the award in in conjunction with the Toyota 86 – both cars are made at Subaru’s Gunma factory near Tokyo.
People's Choice Awards give the online audience for the multiple carsales network of automotive websites the chance to choose the most popular vehicles across 13 key categories.
Forester wins again
The Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Subaru Forester has been named the Compact SUV People’s Choice for the second consecutive year by the Carsales Network websites.
In what Carsales described as a “landslide victory” the Forester repeated its 2008 success.
Liberty and Outback win Australia's Best Car Awards
Subaru has won two titles in the respected Australia’s Best Cars (ABC) awards, announced by the country’s combined motoring organisations in Melbourne tonight (Tuesday).
Subaru took the honours with:
- Liberty 3.6R Premium – Best Prestige Car
- Outback 2.5i – Best Recreational 4WD
Outback is Best SUV under $40,000
The Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Subaru Outback has won its first ever Australian award, being named Best SUV Under $40,000 in Fairfax’s Drive Car of the Year 2009 awards.
New generation Outback placed ahead of the updated Mazda CX-7 Classic, Kia Sorrento Si and last year’s winner, the Renault Koleos, to take the honours in a unanimous decision by the nine judges.
Impreza WRX wins MOTOR magazine's Bang For Your Bucks
MOTOR magazine has awarded the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Impreza WRX Subaru’s fifth Bang For Your Bucks performance car title.
The ultimate test of the best performance cars on sale in Australia saw the Model Year 2009 Impreza WRX triumph against some expensive heavy metal and key competitors.
Forester is "Peoples Choice"
Fairfax automotive website Drive.com.au has announced that the Subaru Forester has won its People’s Choice Award for 2008.
Drive.com.au said: “Subaru’s Forester compact 4WD has halted the Holden Commodore’s run of popularity in Drive’s People’s Choice award.
Forester "Best Compact SUV"
The new generation Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Subaru Forester has been voted Best Compact SUV in the Carsales Network People’s Choice Awards.
Carsales.com Ltd says the awards are the only ones in Australia determined by car buyers themselves.
Forester is Gold Star Car - Wheels Magazine Review
Subaru’s Forester XS premium has been named Wheels Magazine’s pick for the 2008 Gold Star Cars Compact SUV category.
Forester was ranked ahead of Mitsubishi Outlander and BMW X3 3.0D – both of which cost between $4000 and $36,410 more than Forester.
Subaru wins second International Engine of the Year Award
Subaru’s 2.5 litre turbocharged engine has won an International Engine of the Year Award for the second time in three years.
The four-cylinder boxer turbo that powers the new generation Impreza WRX and Forester XT, won the 2.0 to 2.5 litre class in the awards, announced this week at the Engine Expo in Stuttgart, Germany.
5 Star ANCAP Safety Rating

The entire Subaru range has achieved the highest Five Star Occupant Safety Rating from the independent, highly acclaimed Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
